Debbie is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate born in Santiago, Chile and raised in Austin, TX. She received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from Texas A&M University in College Station. She then went on to earn a Master of Education degree in Clinical Counseling from the University of Houston.
Debbie has extensive training working in community-based settings where she’s had the opportunity to work with adults, adolescents, and children for a wide range of mental health disorders.
Some of the services she has provided include performing biopsychosocial assessments, treatment planning, skills training, psychoeducation, mental health care, and assisting in medication management.
Debbie takes a lot of pride in being a bilingual clinician and working alongside clients who are navigating life’s most difficult and unpredictable challenges. It is her goal to build rapport and trust with her clients to effectively build greater coping mechanisms that meet their individual needs.
When she is not in session, she loves spending quality time with her husband and their beloved dog.
